I was a bit nervous, ordering, and trying out this vest based on so many reviews with so many negative comments, but I was pleasantly surprised.First of all the odor concern. There was barely any perceptible odor, and it was certainly tolerable. Not sure if I am just not sensitive to smells or other people are maybe overly sensitive, but it really wasn’t a concern!For reference, I am 5 foot tall and approximately 140 pounds. I bought the 11 to 20 pound vest and I’m glad I did. I wore it on a 2 mile walk with only the 11 pounds of the vest itself as I took out all of the inserts. It was honestly way too easy! My heart rate was only in the 120s except when going up a hill it got into the low 130s. I even jogged the last 10th of a mile and it still was not difficult. I will definitely need to insert some of the weights and work my way up. However, I do CrossFit three times a week, but I am average at best and I scale a lot of things.The vest is comfortable and fits well. I tightened up the adjustable straps as needed and I wore a T-shirt under the vest and did not have any chafing.I have zero complaints with this vest and would definitely purchase again if needed.

I originally bought this vest for my wife, and she couldn’t stop talking about how much it improved her workouts. She loved the fit, comfort, and how easy it was to adjust the weight as she got stronger. After hearing her rave about it, I decided to grab one for myself—and I’m glad I did. It’s comfortable, doesn’t bounce around during cardio, and makes a noticeable difference in my training without feeling bulky. The vest works great, although my shoulders are kind of slope and so this kind of slides far out on my shoulders other than that, the weight is evenly distributed front and back. It’s great workmanship.

Excellent fit and comfort. This vest is very balanced with weight in the front, back and chest. Individual weights can be added to the front and back for balance. Plus, there’s a pocket for your phone, keys etc. It does get smaller as you add more weight. Adjustable straps allow the user to make it snug against their body. I guess my only complaint (albeit minor) is that I would like the straps around the neck to be a little more wide-set.

As a small-framed woman I was a little concerned that any weighted vest I found would be oversized, flop around on my body, and just not work out well. This particular weighted vest turned out to be the perfect one for me! It fits very nicely over my frame, isn’t too bulky, but has enough give in the adjustable waist straps to keep everything fitting snugly.I weighed each element of this product for accuracy and found that it was perfect: the vest weighs 4lbs and each of the 6 bags weighs 1lb each, as advertised.Overall, the vest is well-constructed and feels sturdy with strong and straight stitching; there are just a few annoying little imperfections that absolutely do not impede the function of the vest (mostly just loose threads) but if you’re a perfectionist they may just dig at you a little. The weight bags are easy to add and take out, and they are held in very well with their perfectly sized pockets and velcro closures.There are a nice amount of reflectors on the front and back of the vest in case you want to use it outside during night walks/runs, and they shine quite brightly when a light shines on them. There is also a pocket at the front of the vest with a massive velcro closure to hold small items like your cellphone and keys, which is very handy.The only negative I found with this vest is its horrific chemical smell. I found myself trying not to breathe while running which, you can imagine, is a bit of a problem. It has been almost a week and the smell is still going strong, even after airing it outside for a day, but I am crossing my fingers that the strong smell will dissipate.I actually look forward to using this weighted vest every day during my walks/runs to help my old bones stay strong.Four Stars! (one entire star removed because the smell is THAT bad).

I’ve had this vest for about 3 months and love it! I chose it because of the weight options available; my smaller frame and the ability to start without weight and add it as I progressed. I have a rod and screws fused neck in 6 of 8 vertebrae’s so comfort and flexibility were key. It has provided both and helps me to maintain good posture (avoid the tendency to slouch) and good posture while rebuilding my neck/shoulder muscles and strengthening my core – both imperative to retain as one ages. I have recommended this to several family members and friends since I began using it.

This weighted vest feels very solid and well-made. It’s surprisingly comfortable to wear, thanks to the adjustable straps that make it easy to fit snugly. I can move around freely during workouts without any discomfort. The modular weight design is a big plus — I can adjust the weight according to my training needs. Overall, very convenient and great quality!
