Pleasantly Surprised!
There’s no doubt that an ECG (electrocardiography) chest strap heart rate sensor provides superior accuracy, especially for HIIT and RST (repeated sprint training). However, for steady-state zone-2 training, an arm-strap sensor is sufficient and more comfortable for extended sessions—particularly in cold weather with low humidity when getting the chest strap under multiple layers and applying conductive gel can be challenging.Specific to this product, it’s comfortable, easy to adjust, and pairs effortlessly with several apps and devices, including my Garmin ForeTrek hiking GPS. It also offers good battery life and a reliable charging mechanism. While this doesn’t replace my chest-strap sensor (due to the differences between electrical signals and optical sensing) for sprints, lactate threshold training, or mountain biking on rough terrain—where rapid heart rate changes and physical jarring significantly affect accuracy—it has made heart rate monitoring for steady-state training and hiking much easier and more convenient.

Works with OrangeTheory
This is exactly what i was looking for. My OrangeTheory heart rate monitor has been acting up lately and a new one costs $129, so I came to amazon to try and find something more affordable, and thought I would try this one out for $35. It doesn’t connect to your app, but when you go in to the OrangeTheory Studio, they can add the serial number to your profile and poof you show up on the board and it measures your heart rate and you get all of the stats registered in your app after the class ends. I’ve only used it once so far, so will try a few more classes to make sure the HR is registering the same as the OTF hrm.

Heart Rate monitor Orange theory
I got this because I have an Orange theory membership. This connects to your studio only NOT to the app in your phone. When you take it to the studio a staff member needs to add the numbers that are in the back of the heart rate monitor in your profile and it will connect. On the hand it won’t connect to the orange theory application. I wanted to use it for my home workouts but I used wahoo app for this.

Perfect for wahoo and other apps. Best deal.
I have a F45 Lionheart arm HR monitor 2.0 and it works on Wahoo as well as F45 app.I wanted to get something similar that would help me 13 year old son track his HR as we worked out that would be just like my F45 Bluetooth/ant connection.Out of the box we turned it on and it paired immediately with Wahoo. It was just as accurate as my F45 Lionheart. It’s simple, well designed, and works the way it should. For $30, it’s the best one on Amazon.

Reliable heart rate sensor
I use it for biking and it’s as good as a chest worn sensor. Small size and low profile, perfect for wearing it comfortably on the upper arm. Pairing with WAHOO Bolt and Zwift by Bluetooth is simple and it works every time.

Great HR monitor but does not have a great lifespan
I really like this HR Monitor. The features are great. The big problem is that they seem to only last about a year. I’m now on my 3rd one in 3 years. It would be great if they could make them last longer.

Works with my ifit nordictrack treadmill
I wanted a heart rate monitor that would control my nordictrack treadmill. This is it I have a treadmill that pairs with an android tablet. I just put on the monitor and the tablet finds it and I tap a button on the screen and it connects and calibrates. The monitor adjust the treadmill to my target heart rate with speed and incline on the treadmill. I also connect a bluetooth speaker for better sound. They both work at the same time. The monitor makes my workouts better. The heart rate override the training video when my heart rate gets to fast or too slow. Rechargeable so I’m not buying batteries.

This is as accurate as a chest HRM and much more comfortable for cycling. I hardly notice it, i wear it on my bicep. It connected to my garmin head unit using ble, not ant+. I quirk – to get the heart rate to display, i need to explicitly disconnect and reconnect.
