Great shoe for the price
A great budget walking shoe for very wide feet that don’t need too much support but benefit from a bit of cushioning. I walk for hours in these, and I wanted something passable for going out and socializing in, and these go with a range of outfits.Pros:* Very secure fit.* a good looking shoe compared to barefoot shoes. Does not look clownish.* plenty wide for my pizza shaped feet* I’ve walked on concrete for hours with these and they feel great.Cons:* sole is a bit stiff compared to altras.* sole is not as grippy in wet conditions as a trail shoe: I wouldn’t wear these hiking.* good looking but not GREAT looking. These won’t break your look but they won’t elevate it either.UPDATE: I keep being blown away by this brand. How other shoe manufacturers haven’t managed to make good looking wide toe box shoes like these is beyond me. These are comfortable even when I’m on my feet for hours, that toe box is absolutely perfect. I’m just glad my shoe addiction is to a cheap brand. Whitin, I’m a threepeat customer.

My comfortable athletic shoe I’ve ever worn.
These are extremely comfortable! I have a Morton’s neuroma and these shoes are the perfect remedy. Lots of room for my toes without looking sloppy. Very light weight. I love the Whitin brand. I have 3 different styles (barefoot, high tops and these) and 5 different colors now. I walked all over Europe on 2 week vacation and that’s the only shoes I wore. I’ve worn all of them for months now and they wear very well. I’ve washed them in the machine and air dried with no issues. I wear an 8.5 wide and the 8.5 was perfect. They are designed wide. My feet are so happy!

CHECK SIZING BEFORE PLACING ORDER!
I wear a 9 to 9.5 Wide in Women’s shoes, so that’s what I ordered: 9.5 Wide. Nowhere in the description does it say what the European size is, which would have been helpful since I already know I wear a 40 EU in a different Whitin model. UPDATE: There is now a sizing chart in the middle of the product page, which gives foot lengths in inches/centimeters as well as size conversions for a better fit. When these arrived, I found they were a size 41, which is too big for me. This was a huge setback for me, since I’ve been desperately seeking shoes that will help my tarsal tunnel syndrome heal.Other than the length, these shoes were comfortable and offered more cushioning than the minimalist Whitins I already own (which I can no longer wear because of the tarsal tunnel syndrome, *not* caused by the Whitins). I love the wide toe box — which was plenty roomy for my 2E-width female feet — and they’re attractive as well, which is hard to find in these types of shoes. I absolutely love Whitin shoes and am looking forward to the correct-sized ones to arrive.NOTE ON CUSHIONING: These are *not* the equivalent of the Men’s Wide Toe Box Road Running Shoe that looks the same. I ordered both, and the Men’s version has a much more cushiony sole. The sole on these is harder, has less spring, and makes a bit of “slap” noise when walking. The Men’s version is quieter, more rubber-like on hardwood floors. Also, the Men’s version is visibly wider and actually fits my 2E width foot better. (For reference, the ball of my foot measures 4″ across — the widest Women’s version of this shoe is less than that in size 11.)Please note that there is not a lot of arch “support” in these shoes, but the insole is removable so you can put any insole or orthotic in that you wish. I’m so glad Whitin is NOT trying to be an orthopedist like so many shoe manufacturers! We all have different feet and different support needs, so having the option to switch out the insole is a huge plus.

great shoe! Been wearing daily for 6 months, still comfy and cute.
I bought them in sept of 24 and they are still holding up. There is wear and tear, but they are still comfortable and supportive. The sole is flexible and the toe box is wide, BUT this is NOT a wide shoe in the traditional sense. If you are someone who would typically buy a “wide” this is not the one for you. I wear them on concrete daily and have not had any foot pain as there is enough sole (unlike most wide toe box shoes on the market as they are usually barefoot or minimalist– which I did not want). ordering a couple pairs in other colors.

Great value
Comfortable right out of the box. True fit and I tried walking on a gravel road since I’m trying to find a pair to walk my road in comfort again. Love them. Unlike barefoot shoes, which I have and really like, you can actually walk on rough terrain and not bruise your feet. So far I would highly recommend these.

“New” = obviously returned pair chucked in a bag
I bought a pair of these in the red color a while back and love them so much! They’re comfortable, fit well, and have held up so far. My work boots are wearing out and I wanted to replace them with lighter weight shoes, so I ordered these again in all black. I’m trying to remember how the first pair was packaged, but I’m almost positive they weren’t just tossed in a bag with other items like this pair was. They’re also definitely a pair that were returned and repackaged without really bothering – one shoe had laces that were sort of tied, the other was completely untied and has white marks and small flecks of dirt on the bottom. I bought these as new, not Used – Like New, so I’m not 100% thrilled with their condition or how they were shipped but I also don’t care THAT much as long as the shoes are otherwise in good shape.

very low cut, my toes cannot go in at all eventhough it is the right size. Only suitable for skinny feet

I bought this pair of shoes because of the wider fit as I have wide feet, they are very comfortable and will probably buy them again. I am very happy with my purchase.
Canadian Consumer –
Mom needed a wider toe box runner. She wears these all the time. Good value for the price.

Ordered wrong size again, the chart is kinda wonky. However this time the shoes fit another kid in my house and no need to return. The kid that fit the shoes says they are the most comfortable!

UPDATE: these shoes are horrible. My feet are in agony whenever I walk too fast or wear them for too long. They are no longer zero drop because the outsoles are so soft there’s almost no tread left in the forefoot in only 1½ months. Absolute trash.I’ll update review accordingly, but at first I thought I had got the wrong size, and almost ordered another pair while starting a return for these. Then I remember the company saying to remove the insole if the fit doesn’t feel right. Because it fit in length, but the width and height felt wrong. Had nothing to lose, removed the insoles. What a DIFFERENCE! My toes no longer feel like they’re being crushed, my feet don’t feel like they’re being strangled. I am coming to these shoes from VFF toe shoes, so I know I had to bring down my expectations for roominess a bit. Having said that, much better than a regular shoeI’ll have to walk some more without the insoles, to see if it’s still on comfortable as my literal barefoot shoes. Which took away my feet, knee, and hip pain. Hopefully these do the same while giving some protection from the rain and any stray needles.
