Another tool for plantar fascitis/sore ankles
This worked when nothing else would to get my ankle mobile again after developing plantar fascitis. I I hired myself by joggin-walking too much too fast and got plantar fasictis. The Dr also diagnosed some other issues related to my aging feet and arches that appear to be falling. No bone density or cartilage loss, just inflamed and painful.I use this even now and am not completely pain free from inflammation but paired with other strategies I am mobile and so much less pained.I use this daily in conjunction with heat and ice therapy, arnica cream or buofreeze, compression socks, stretching and strengthening, and foot massagers (shiatsu)! These are working slowly to relieve plantar fascitis

Hopefully this will help strengthen my ankles!
Throughout the years, I’ve rolled my ankle more times than I care to admit. It’s almost always been the right ankle too. Time after time. One time I rolled it so bad, that the pain lasted for a good six weeks or so. Going up the stairs was extremely difficult. I finally went to an acupuncturist, but that’s a story for another time..Throughout the years, I’ve been given physical therapy tools and tips to help strengthen my ankles. If I’m being honest, I’ve never really stuck with any of them. I did get myself a large round balance board, a little over a year ago that I’m really fond of. I sit at a desk all day, so I store it under my desk and use it several throughout the day. The only problem is it’s very large and very noticeable. This board here is small, so it’s pretty discrete. It can easily be stored under your work desk, without drawing a lot of attention. YAY!!! It’s small enough they you can even store it in a desk drawer. At first, I was kind of skeptical of it…It is thinner than I expected. It measures 1/2” thick. My board is 1/4” thicker than this one. I’m overweight and I felt really awkward when I first got on this. If I’m being honest, I was nervous I’d roll my ankle just getting on this thing. Hanging onto something made my nervousness settle a bit though. The Velcro is very strong and sturdy. Weight limit says 300; I’m 225 and I made it on and off the board without breaking any body parts! The rope that connects the two pieces of board is kind of “eh” to me. I understand why it’s there but I find that when I’m trying to situate my foot, the front board moves in different directions. (Your heel is in one position and your forefoot is twisting / moving at the same time). You just have to be mindful when climbing aboard. I found sitting while using this is easiest; at least when you first get started. This seems like a well made product. The rubber sheets do have a very strong rubber smell. At the price point of $9.99, I feel like it’s a good deal. My very large round board was $15.99 at the time; currently $18.44.

Good quality, versatile and helpful instructions
Great foot strengthener. This has helped me increased the stability of my feet and ankles. It is very versatile, I can move the rods to different places on the sole of the foot or the heel. It comes with instructions to help focus exercises on specific areas d the foot, ankle, and calf. It is a good quality, well-made product

Not deep stretching but nice, easy, & gentle.
It took a minute to figure out how to get this set up right but it has helped stretch out my ankles a lot. Once you get the hang of it it is easy to move between exercises. The boards are a little thinner than I’m used too but it makes it lightweight and time will tell on durability. I believe it was worth the money, IF you actually use it. This has helped the ankles which in turn aided my knee and lower back, both are due for surgery, but pain has reduced and I can put it off a little longer. That might not be the case for everyone so be sure to consult your healthcare provider. I’m loving it and it is working as expected for me.

  6. Leora Doom

Harder than expected, but very effective
I didn’t realize I needed this until I started to use it. I began bouldering nearly two years ago and as I progress in my sport I have been training key muscle groups to help improve my performance.Ankle mobility is essential for good climbing performance, but it can be challenging to find exercises that train for this. This board has been a game changer in my routine. I am certain that with continued use I will see improvements in my ankle strength and agility. The board is lightweight yet sturdy. The stabilizing bars are easy to place in a variety of positions according to the helpful exercise booklet. The bars stick well to the bottom with Velcro and do not move during exercise, yet are quite easy to lift and reposition as needed. The board is lined with a grippy material helping you feel secure during use.The stability board is easy to use but highly effective. The price point makes it a no-brainer, if you’re an athlete you need this.

  7. Mopholo

    The good and the bad
On the plus side it comes with an instruction booklet, so pretty easy to use.As far as functionality if you use these they will strengthen your ankle and and help with foot flexion, which gets to be a problem the older you getTake care using these though, as designed they are fairly unstable ( intentionally ) so have a wall to place a hand against when you use them. Now for the problems, if you have very big feet these are not optimal, mine are size 13 so getting the back plate and front plate to function together properly is a bit trickyValue for money, about the same as other devices on the market, so good but not great.

Perfect for working on balance and stability
This is actually the second one I’ve purchased and it’s still such a great tool! I teach yoga and Pilates on a regular basis so this is a tool I use to up my game. You can reposition the Velcro balance beams very easily allowing you to customize the area you want to exercise/strengthen. It is very durable (made of solid wood). The reason I had to buy another was due to my dog chewing it up. If you are trying to up your balancing game, this is a cost effective tool.
