The Most Versatile Ankle Weights I’ve Owned
These adjustable ankle weights are honestly the bee’s knees for the price. The weight range alone is impressive — anywhere from about 2.2 lbs all the way up to 22 lbs — which is a ton of resistance for what you’re paying. That kind of flexibility makes them useful for way more than just one person or one type of workout. What I really love is how adjustable they are. Everyone in my family can use them, no matter where they’re at in their health or strength journey. I like to load them up heavy and just walk on the treadmill, while my son runs with them about halfway loaded and even wears them to school. They fit securely and don’t slide around or bounce when used as intended, which is huge.Build quality feels solid for the price. They’re comfortable, the straps hold well, and once they’re on, the weights stay put. My only small wish is that there was a Velcro flap over the weight pockets. That would make them more versatile for things like wrist use without worrying about weights slipping out. That said, when used as ankle weights, they’re very secure and I’ve had no issues with movement or weights coming loose.Overall, these offer fantastic value, great adjustability, ease of use, and real versatility for the whole family. If you’re looking for affordable, adjustable ankle weights that actually stay in place and let you scale your workouts over time, these are an easy five-star recommendation.

Solid Construction with Easy Weight Adjustability
Leg weights are good for building lower body strength and endurance when running or walking. These weights allow working up to heavier exercise by inserting additional metal bars into the pockets on the weight cuffs.Design and Construction:On the exterior, the weight cuffs have a web design which is soft yet feels durable. Two Velcro straps on each cuff are around 1½ inches wide. These straps use a molded‑hook Velcro strap rather than the woven hook tape which usually frays after multiple uses. Each pocket contains two flat, removable weight bars that measure around 5⅞ inches long and 1-inch wide. The interior of the cuff has silicone-like material that provides some padding on the ankle and helps maintain the cuff in place. At the cuffs’ perimeter, the edge binding is a consistent size and texture. Stitching across the cuffs, pockets, and straps is neat and uniform, which enhances the clean, finished appearance. Although the metal rectangular strap rings are thin, they seem to be adequate for normal use without deforming.I weighed some of the metal bars used to adjust the overall weight. The individual bars varied from 6.41 ounces to 7.09 ounces, with most in the range of 6.93 to 7.0 ounces. This weight inconsistency may make a difference for some users but does not reduce their effectiveness.Use:In use, regardless of how high above my heel I strapped the cuffs, the weights did quickly gravitate to the lowest point my ankle. Since these are “ankle weights,” this is normal, but securing the weights at their lowest point on the ankle first is best practice. There isn’t a flap covering the pockets, so I found a firm tug on the Velcro straps when tightening helps to maintain the weights in place, especially if only one bar occupies the pocket. With all pockets filled, the metal bars tended to press against the outer ankle bone and slightly onto the shin during movement. Repositioning the cuffs on the ankle prior to exercising did alleviate some of the pressure on the ankle bones and shins. When working with lighter weight, removing the bars from the middle pockets provided a better fit on my ankles.Summary:With their solid construction and ease of use, these ankle weights are a good addition to exercise gear. The padding on the interior is the best of any ankle weights I’ve tried, and the exterior seems to be durable. I like the Velcro molded-hook strap rather than the woven hook tape since it will probably add to the straps’ longevity and effectiveness. While wearing the weights, strategic placement of the bars in the pockets minimizes pressure on the ankle area. One issue I had with these weights is the lack of a cover for the metal bar pockets. During use, the straps seem to hold the bars in place, but when securing the weight to the ankle or removing them, the bars can slide out. Also, even though the weight of the individual metal bars did not vary too much, there was up to a ½-ounce differential of the bars I weighed.Overall, these ankle weights perform well, have a clean design, and are easily adjustable, making them a good choice for building leg strength and endurance when walking or running.

Comfortable, Adjustable Ankle Weights With a Critical Design Flaw
I received these ankle weights through the Amazon Vine program, so I have no incentive to leave either a positive or negative review—this is strictly my honest, unbiased feedback.Starting with the positives: the material is a cloth fabric that feels almost mesh-like, yet it’s thick and well-constructed. It offers very good breathability, which is important for longer workouts or cardio-based training. The weight options are solid for the size, and I like that you can add or remove weight depending on your training needs. That flexibility is always a plus.Putting the ankle weights on is simple and straightforward. The straps are long and adjustable, giving you plenty of room to work with regardless of ankle size. Once secured, they feel stable enough for general movement. In terms of pricing, these are very fairly priced compared to similar options currently on the market. Now for the negatives—and this is a significant one. As other reviewers have mentioned, the individual weights can fall out very easily if you’re not extremely careful while adjusting or moving them. This becomes even more frustrating when multiple weights are added. In my case, one of the weights slipped out and hit my foot pretty hard, which was both painful and irritating. This is something that absolutely needs to be addressed. There should be some form of closure—Velcro, snaps, or another securing mechanism—to prevent the weights from sliding out during handling or movement. If this issue were fixed, these would easily be a five-star product. However, because of this design flaw, I’m realistically between three and four stars. As long as I can avoid weights falling out and hitting my foot again, I’m comfortable settling on four stars for now.One additional note: the wrap itself runs a bit oversized and tends to sit slightly lower, closer to the foot rather than strictly around the ankle. Personally, I don’t find this uncomfortable at all—it doesn’t rub or cause pain. That said, someone with very small ankles or legs may find the wrap bulky or oversized.Overall, these ankle weights have strong potential, but the lack of a secure closure for the weights is a noticeable drawback that prevents them from being perfect
